Outline Itinerary This new 11-night tour takes you on an unforgettable journey through the Nordic Winter. Starting in the stunning city of Stockholm, you then fly north to the amazing ICEHOTEL©, with the opportunity to enjoy a variety of winter activities. Whether your chose to sleep 'on ice' is entirely up to you! A scenic rail journey through the Arctic wilderness takes you into Norway and the next day you join the Coastal Voyage (Hurtigruten) sailing south through the lovely Lofoten Islands. You now have four days to relax and enjoy the spectacular vistas of mountains and fjords, as well as the diversity of ports of call en route to Bergen. From Bergen you will take the train 'Over the Roof of Norway' to conclude this memorable holiday. Extra nights can be added if required, or the holiday shortened in various ways if time does not permit the full itinerary. Whilst visiting the ICEHOTEL© you can take part in a range of excursions and activities, we suggest the Evening Snowmobile Safari in search of the Northern Lights. Day 1 - Depart London Heathrow at 1035, arrive Stockholm at 1410. You will stay for 2 nights in Stockholm at the Nordic Sea Hotel with breakfast included (Manchester, Birmingham or Edinburgh flights may also be available depending on departure date, supplement may apply). Day 2 - At leisure in Stockholm Day 3 - Depart Stockholm at 1200, arriving at Kiruna at 1330. You will be transferred to the ICEHOTEL© where you will be provided with thermal clothing and boots. You will then be given a guided tour of the ICEHOTEL©. Tonight your will stay at the ICEHOTEL© in an Ice Room or in warm accommodation, either a log cabin or hotel room - click here for details of the accommodation options - please indicate your preference. We recommend that your upgrade to an Ice Suite for extra an extra special experience - click here for details. Day 4 - Breakfast at the Inn. Day at leisure. A great opportunity to take part in a range of activities and excursions, such as Ice Sculpting, Husky safaris and snow shoeing - click here for a full list. Day 5 - Breakfast at the Inn. Transfer to Kiruna station for the 1100 train to Narvik, arriving at 1400. At 1615 depart Narvik by bus for Harstad, arriving at 1830. Stay for 1 night at the Clarion Collection Hotel Articus (see picture below) in Harstad, breakfast is included. Day 6 - Depart Harstad at 0830 on the southbound Coastal Voyage, sailing through Vesteralen and Lofoten Islands, with a detour into the amazing Trolifjord if weather conditions permit. Day 7 - Today you will cross the Arctic circle as you head south through more panoramic island and mountain vistas. Day 8 - This morning you can spend a few hours in Trondheim before continuing south to Kristiansund, Molde and Alesund. Day 9 - Arrive at 1430 into Bergen. Stay for 2 nights at the Clarion Admiral Hotel. Day 10 - At leisure in Bergen Day 11 - Depart Bergen at 1030 for the scenic rail journey 'Over the Roof of Norway' to Oslo arriving at 1800. Stay for 1 night at the Royal Christiania Hotel in Oslo. Day 12 - Depart Olso at 1710 for your flight back to London Heathrow, arriving at 1830.
