Aurora Sky Station in
Abisko – Northern Lights Tour:
To the west of Kiruna, the mountains of the Abisko
National Park dominate the landscape. Located towards the summit of Mount Nuolja,
in the heart of the range, stands the Aurora Sky Station which at a latitude of
68.2°offers one of the finest platforms for viewin g the Aurora Borealis away
from artificial lights.
A three-course evening meal, influenced by Nordic
cuisine, will be served in the Aurora Sky Station.
After dinner have free time to view the Aurora
exhibition and to sit outside under the dark night sky. On a clear night,
hopefully the Northern Lights will be dancing across the sky above.

The Aurora Sky Station is accessed by cable car. A balaclava
is recommended for the 20 minute climb as you are unprotected from the elements.

SNOWMOBILE:
Introduction course:
The introduction course is ideal for those who have
never driven a snowmobile or, who wish to discover the exhilaration of
snowmobiling across a frozen landscape.
- Duration: 45 minutes including 30 minutes driving a snowmobile.
- Time: 1500hrs
- Price: £57.00 per person (based on 2 guests sharing a snowmobile)
The supplement to drive your own snowmobile is £82.00 per person.
40km of Freedom:
Learn to master the vehicle that allows access to
Lapland’s snow-covered countryside. The excursion includes a 40km snowmobile
safari.

£50 per child, aged 3-12yrs)

In the Arctic Wilderness:
Enjoy a snowmobile safari into the Arctic wilderness
where moose gather and graze. The tour will include a stop at a wilderness camp
and a traditional lunch.

Arctic Wildlife Tour:
This excursion is offered in collaboration with the Swedish
University of Agricultural Sciences and the ICEMOOSE project. Along with a local
guide, this tour (c. 40km) takes you through magnificent mountain sceneries and
will teach you about the local wildlife and the surrounding nature. Transfers
and lunch are included.
- Duration: 6 hours (approximately 3 hours are spent on board the snowmobiles)
- Daily: 0900-1500hrs
- Price: £300.00 per person* / £150.00 per child (aged 3-12 years)
The supplement to drive your own snowmobile is £90.00 per person
The transfer to/from the excursion takes c. 40 minutes each way

Northern lights tour
(most popular snowmobile excursion)
In cooperation
with the Swedish Institute of Space Physics we offer a snowmobile excursion in
search of the magic northern lights (c. 35km). Our trained guides will tell you
truths and tales about the celestial phenomenon. A three course dinner is served
in a wilderness camp.
- Duration: 4 hours
- Time: 1900-2300hrs
until 28 March 2012. From
29 March 2012 the excursion will commence at 2000hrs.

Salmon sandwich, followed by moose goulash. Tea, coffee and a cake is also
served.

Overnight tour (driving your own snowmobile):
Surrounded by dense, snow covered
forests this guided snowmobile tour (c. 30km) will take you to one of our
wilderness camps where you spend the night. Dinner and breakfast are included.
- Duration: 17 hours
- Time: Friday and Saturday departures only: 1700hrs (Day One) and finishing at 1000hrs (Day Two)
- Price: £400.00 per person
/ £200.00 per child (aged 3-12 years)
Approximately 1 hour in each direction is spent on board the snowmobiles
An example of dinner: Mushroom soup, followed by salmon with potato gratin,
cheese and cloudberry jam. Tea and coffee is also served.
General comments – SNOWMOBILE:
- Each tour is led by one experienced guide per eight snowmobiles.
- All guides are trained and hold the Swedish Transport Board's permission
to work as a snowmobile guide.
- Helmets are provided to all participants.
- The rental of snowmobile overalls, shoes, caps and gloves are included.
- The minimum age to drive a snowmobile is 16 years old. A valid driving
licence is required.
- One child is permitted per paying adult.
- An excess of 8000SEK is payable in the event of an accident/damage to
the snowmobile. Participants can purchase a Collision Damage Reduction
insurance prior to the start of their tour (450SEK) which will decrease the
excess to 2500SEK. A further insurance called Collision Damage Waiver (an
additional 450SEK) can be purchased to reduce the excess to 0.00SEK.
DOG SLED TOURS:
The Story Of Huskies:
Take a seat in the sled, experience the howling dogs, and then the silence when
the journey begins (c.13km). Coffee and cake over a camp fire is included.
- Duration: 1 ½ hours
- Daily: 0930-1100hrs and 1300-1430hrs
- Price: £156.00 per person / £78.00 per child (aged 3-12 years)

- Each sled carries a maximum of 4 passengers. Please note that you may be
required to share a sled with other guests.

Everyday life of a musher:
Traverse the snow covered
landscape behind a team of huskies (c. 30km), to a wilderness camp where lunch
is served. This excursion will give you an insight into the everyday life of a
musher and will include a visit to a kennel.

- Time: 1100-1500hrs
- Price: £313.00 per person

REINDEER EXCURSIONS
Raidu -
Encounter With The
Reindeer: (most popular reindeer
excursion)
After a short transfer to a
reindeer camp you will enjoy a presentation of Sami culture by your local
guides. You will also have the opportunity to feed the reindeer, try and catch a
reindeer with a lasso and drive your own reindeer sled. Transfers by scooter and
sled, and a traditional lunch are included.

Esrange Space Centre:
A guided tour of Europe's only civilian space centre, Esrange. Transfers

the space centre.
ICEMOOSE:
The ICEMOOSE project is financed by Sveaskog, the Swedish Hunters
Association and the ICEHOTEL, and run by the Swedish University of Agricultural
Sciences (SLU) aims to monitor the movement of Moose in Swedish Lapland and to
study the impact that climate change and tourism has on these magnificent
animals. This excursion will take you on a guided tour by minibus to the
winter grazing lands of moose. Transfers, coffee and cake are included.

Northern Lights, Esrange
Space Centre and Dinner Under The Stars:
This tour, organised in cooperation with the Swedish Institute of
