following excursions to your booking. We recommend that these are
pre-booked in advance to avoid disappointment.

Transfer to the ICEHOTEL© by Husky Sledge
What better way to begin your holiday to the
ICEHOTEL©. You are dressed warmly
at Kiruna airport and your luggage is taken care of by staff that drive it
directly to the ICEHOTEL©. You then sit yourself on the dogsled, at most 4 people
per dogsled and 10-14 dogs pulling the sled. When the snow anchor is released
the excited dogs cease howling and set off. Then you only hear their paws and
breathing and the sound of the sled against the snow. Available daily upon
flight arrival. The beginning of the season is dependant on the amount of snow.

SNOWMOBILE:
Introduction course:
The introduction course is ideal for those who have
never driven a snowmobile or, who wish to discover the exhilaration of
snowmobiling across a frozen landscape.
- Duration: 45 minutes including 30 minutes driving a snowmobile.
- Time: 1500hrs
- Price: £57.00 per person (based on 2 guests sharing a snowmobile)
The supplement to drive your own snowmobile is £82.00 per person.
40km of Freedom:
Learn to master the vehicle that allows access to
Lapland’s snow-covered countryside. The excursion includes a 40km snowmobile
safari.

In the Arctic Wilderness:
Enjoy a snowmobile safari into the Arctic wilderness
where moose gather and graze. The tour will include a stop at a wilderness camp
and a traditional lunch.

Northern lights tour
(most popular snowmobile excursion)
Take a guided snowmobile tour in search of the
Northern Lights! During the tour, you will learn more about the Northern Lights
and the surrounding nature. The tour will include a stop at a wilderness camp
and a light traditional meal.

- Time: 1900hrs
- Price: £179.00 per person (based on 2 guests sharing a snowmobile)

Overnight tour (driving your own snowmobile):
This guided snowmobile tour takes you through dense
forests and snow-covered wilderness. Perhaps the Northern Lights will light up
the night sky, or perhaps see moose and reindeer. Regardless you will experience
a journey that you will not easily forget. Overnight will be spent at a
wilderness camp where all the necessary accessories are included.
- Duration: 19 hours
- Time: 1700hrs (Day One) and finishing at 1000hrs (Day Two)
- Price: £409.00 per person
Notes: Saturday and Sunday departures only. Dinner and breakfast included.
General comments – SNOWMOBILE:
- Snowmobile activities start next to the ICEHOTEL.
Transfers to/from the excursions are therefore not required.
- Each tour is led by one experienced guide per eight snowmobiles.
- All guides are trained and hold the Swedish Transport Board’s permission to
work as a snowmobile guide.
- Helmets are provided to all participants.
- The price includes the rental of snowmobile overalls, shoes and gloves.
- The minimum age to drive a snowmobile is 16 years old. A valid driving licence
is required.
DOG SLED TOURS:
Short dog sled tour – In the trapper’s footsteps
(most popular dog sled excursion)
Did you know that in Jukkasjärvi and its environs,
there are more dogs than people? Dogsledding is a fun way to experience the
snowy landscape and to meet our four-legged friends. Seat yourself comfortably
in the sled and head silently into the wilderness. Includes stop for coffee and
cake over a campfire.

Everyday life of a musher:
Gain an insight into a musher’s everyday life by
helping your local guide traverse the Arctic landscape to a wilderness camp.

Overnight excursion:
Drive your own team of huskies on an exciting sled
dog adventure with overnight stay in the charming and rustic wilderness cabin.
This 2-day adventure includes a visit to the kennel, an introduction to how to
drive your own dog sled, overnight at a wilderness cabin with sauna and dinner.

REINDEER EXCURSIONS
Raidu (most popular reindeer
excursion)
A guided tour that will give you insight to the Sami
culture. After a short transfer to the wilderness camp you will enjoy a
presentation of Sami culture by your local guides; learn about everyday life and
its rich culture; and experience the excitement of driving your own reindeer
sled. Transfer and a traditional lunch is included.
- Duration: 210 minutes
- Time: 0930hrs

Overnight tour:
Come closer the nature and experience the
interaction between human and animal. Drive your own reindeer sled in the
Lappish virgin forests and spend a night in a wilderness camp. A traditional
Sami lunch and dinner and breakfast is included.
