Itinerary
Day one
UK to Stockholm
Depart the UK for your flight to Stockholm, where you can enjoy Sweden’s
beautiful capital and overnight at one of the city’s designer hotels, the Nordic
Sea.
Day two
Northern Lights Snowmobile Tour
Depart morning for the flight to Swedish Lapland, where you will be transferred
to the world famous ICEHOTEL©. Following check-in and collection of your thermal
clothing, you will have a guided tour of the site and learn about this unique
construction that forms the world’s largest igloo – just in time for your
briefing on how to enjoy a sound night’s sleep in your Ice Room. As night falls,
it’s time to head off into the Arctic forests for a snowmobile ride in search of
the Northern Lights. Enjoy the excitement, yet comforted by the powerful
headlamp lighting up this dream setting of snow covered pines before stopping
for supper. Head back in
time
for a relaxing Vodka in the ICEHOTEL©’s famous ‘Absolut Ice Bar’. Time to retire
to your Ice Room for a rather special experience… sleeping on an ice-block and
reindeer skins, and in a survival sleeping bag! (Sleeping in an Ice Room is
optional, see price panel for details).
Day three
Reindeer & Huskies
Your warm wake-up drink greets you before you take to the sauna and showers.
After a hearty breakfast you’ll head off on a ‘raidu’ guided tour including
reindeer sledding, before enjoying a traditional Sami meal by the open fire in a
Sami tent. The energetic and eager huskies now await your arrival before
whisking you off across the frozen lake and
into
the silent forest, with only the sound of their paws as you take in the scenery
of this winter playground. A relaxing evening is ahead of you, to dine and relax
in the sauna as you absorb this unique experience in Sweden’s Lapland.
Day four
Kiruna to UK
Enjoy a morning sauna and breakfast before your transfer for the lunchtime
flight home.
